* * *

This series is so addictive. You will want to sit still and read all three books at once. I love Luke and Joanna’s relationship. The way they work so well together but yet again I guess that helps with being fated mates. Their journey together so far is so healing. I love how much of a badbutt Joanna is. She is so awesome. I love Melissa Cummins books. She is such a great writer. I cannot wait to continue the series and read book three.

I liked this PNR storyline with danger, drama, rescues, healing, chemistry, and love. The MCs are defined, strong, determined, empathic, and love deeply. I found this book entertaining and enjoyable.

Whoo! This is the type of development and tension I wanted in book 1 from Greg and dani! I adore Luke and Johanna! There was tension. There was spice. There was history. And there was development. I think the author found their stride in this book. Johanna herself is amazing. Just her character made the book worth it. It wasn't Dani, who felt two-dimensional. Johanna suffered so much, and I cried for her! She suffered so she could protect her mate. And Luke is a dream!! Protective and would do anything for Johanna! I love them together. I'm so glad that Zach got what was going to him!! Ugh, I hated him in the first book. He made me feel icky!!

It’s hard for Luke to see how happy Daniella and Gregori are when his own fated mate is still in the clutches of Zachariah or lying dead somewhere. Johanna may have saved his life when she used her powers to protect him but she also consigned him to a living hell without her. Luke and his friends won’t stop looking for her and when they find her he will spend the rest of eternity protecting and cherishing her. In the meantime, they will pursue and kill Zachariah’s minions and keep searching.

I always enjoy books where the female characters are strong but not the “perfect” body like in so many other stories. There is good action to keep things interesting. I received an advance copy but my review is honest and voluntary.

I thought Night Shade was good, but this was even better! I was hooked from the very beginning. I loved the growth and chemistry of both Luke and Joanna. The way they handled the trauma Joanna went through and her strength in rising above it was so well done. I don’t want to put any spoilers but, Joanna is definitely a bit of a badass. I can’t wait to read book 3!

I love this series somuch, I love the fact that Johanna is such a great female character, independent, brave and kickass, I love that she’s as protective of Luke as he is of her, it’s so great to read. Luke also I loved how caring he was with her, how he took her feelings into consideration first all the time, especially after everything she’s been through (and believe me I’ve read books where the MMC hasn’t many times) and that she endured so much to protect him. I loved this so much, words can’t express enough, there needs to be more stars

I don’t think I’ve ever liked a series second book more than the first until this one. The story building kicked up a lot in the second installment. The main characters switched, but the storyline continued and I loved it!
Drama swirled around the main characters as they were figuring out their lives together, fighting a supernatural war, and recovering from recent trauma. The plot moved forward at a brisk pace making this a super fast book to read.
The spice level wasn’t out of control and everything was well placed. I’d recommend this book to anyone who needs a quick story with a heavy dose of paranormal.

I loved that the second installment of this series focused on very real struggles for Johanna and Luke. I found it incredibly relatable, and Johannas identity struggles resonated with me on a emotional level. Seeing the support she received in different forms from different loved ones was beautifully written, flowed naturally, and allowed her personal growth and her relationship growth to flourish.

But seriously, everyone wants a Luke, am I right!? ❤️🖤❤️🖤

This installment does move the story along, and ends with a few cliffhangers.

If you're looking for spicy vampire/magic, touch her and ☠️, you've come to the right place!

💖I have been waiting a while for this book!!💖🥹
Johanna sacrificed so much of herself to protect her mate, Luke, and others.
Luke has been in a tornado 🌪️ of emotions since Johanna managed to contact him via telepathy and saw be take away.
When they finally reunite, Luke notices that getting close to Johanna and getting her to open up was gonna be another challenge but due to the love that he had for her he was willing to wait years for her🥹
Johanna will forever be my favorite little survivor. She has gone through hell and back protecting her mate from Constance. She managed to protect her sanity due to her abilities and a special place in her mind where she lived months in.
When she manages to escape captivity, she unconsciously finds her mate. 🥹💖
The love these two have for each just made me cry because they both believe that they didn’t deserve their happiness.
Johanna believed that Luke would never love her due to the things she we t through and Luke believed that Johanna would never love him because he let them take her away.
Luke’s nickname for Johanna 🥹💖💖💖 made my heart swell and when she saw inside his mind💕💕💕💝🌻🌻🌻🌻
I want my own Luke🥲🥲
Now I need Mya’s HEA. Like Erik my man you need to explain various things 😔😔 My baby has been suffering 🥲🥲

Night Fury by Melissa Cummins is book two in the Chronicles of The Otherworld. It’s a Dark Vampire / Human Fated Mates Romance that I absolutely loved. After I read the first book I couldn’t wait to get my hands on book two. Let me say, this book exceeded my expectations. Melissa Cummins is definitely one of my favorite paranormal romance authors. It’s so easy to get swept up in the story because the worldbuilding is great. The descriptions and details in the book are really good, I could clearly imagine everything I was reading. The plot and pace was amazing. I read the whole book in one sitting just because I needed to know more. Luke and Johanna were fantastic characters because neither one of them are perfect. The way the emotions weaves so many different emotions through the chapters had my heart pounding for so many different reasons. The vulnerability that each one of them shared… not to mention the steaminess was well done as well. I absolutely cannot wait to read book three. This was a fantastic read!

This is Luke and Johanna's story and it was indeed an interesting one. So we met Luke in book one and at the end of the book he feels his mate (Johanna's) presence but can't find her. In this book he finds her in his home and saves her life. It follows how she has been plotting to help Luke and his family in the long run.

This book was phenomenally written. The characters and plot well formed and written out. The development was amazing. I can't even say anything against the flow and pace. Loved this story and can't wait to see what happens to these characters next!!

I loved Nighshade and Nightfury is just as good. This is an awesome series that has a different take on losing a mate. Not knowing, what happened to her. Johanna is the love of Luke's life. But she left. He doesn't know what happened to her. He doesn't know if she is alive or dead. But he will face any life threating situation to find her. To have her back in his arms. He will never give up. Well written and smooth flowing. This book will keep your interest till the end. A great continuation of Nightshade. You don't want to miss this series if your into vampires, true love and suspense.

Another fascinating sequel. Love conquers all. Johanna, a powerful witch, had a turbulent road to recovery, but having Luke, a loving, caring, persistent mate, they persisted together, realising there can be no more secrets. Family support plays a huge role too. Hot spicy encounters steam up the windows. Too good to put down, I pulled a marathon session.

this was a great sequel in the Chronicles of The Otherworld series, it had everything that I enjoyed about the first book and thought the writing style was still there. I enjoyed how good the characters were and how they worked in this universe. It left me excited to read more in this universe and from Melissa Cummins.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Night Fury was so good and so steamy. Luke and Johanna’s story pulls you in and keeps you glued to the book reading. Their chemistry was off the charts. The writing was good and the author did a great job with the topics of healing and trauma. The ending was action-packed and I cannot wait for book 3.
