Finally Getting a Real Writing Space
Book Two Updates and Saying Goodbye to the Bathroom Closet
For the longest time, I've been writing in the confines of my bathroom hallway closet. Three complete stories came out of that tiny space, including Night Shade.
But there's something to be said for having an actual writing space with natural light and room to spread out. Setting up my new desk in a real room with a window feels like officially claiming my identity as a writer. It's not just about the physical space - it's about acknowledging that this work I'm doing matters enough to deserve proper space.
Book Two Progress Update
The timing feels perfect too, because I'm deep into working on book two, which I can now reveal is titled Night Fury!
I'm putting the pre-order for Night Fury up on February 12th, with a tentative release date of June 14th. I'll either use a temporary cover - they're normally all black with just the title and author name - or will have the real cover ready to show you by mid-February.
But in the meantime, here's a teaser from Night Fury:
Even his body, traitor that it was, reacted to her. Even though they were both filthy, he still wanted her, desperately. Having her in his arms stirred the need to bite her, to take her and make her his, but that wasn't right, not like this. He would not touch her, ever, until she was awake, had consented to their bond, and wanted him in the same way he wanted her. Until then, no matter how long it took or how long he had to wait for her to wake, he would stay by her side, watch over her, protect her, spoil her, treasure her, and cherish her. He knew it like he knew his own name. And if he was lucky, during that time, he'd get to know her, and the bond between them would grow from being simply something that marked her as his mate, to the woman he loved fiercely.
